Not many people understand enjoying themselves. It is the core to being happy and healthy. It is when you celebrate yourself that you know what enjoying yourself really means.
Steps :-
1. Stop relying on external aspects like money, career, status, and mates to be happy.
2. Experiences. The more happy experiences, the more joyous you will be.
3. React calmly to situations.
4. Spend time alone and try to introspect your nature, behavior and character.
5. Tune in to the song you like most; the book you like to read; the recipe you like to cook and the person you love to be with.
6. Happiness is mutual. The more you make people around you happy, the happier you will be.
7. Try not to think, speak or act in a way that berates others, and put them on a defensive. Have something good to say at all times.

I believe in your word when you mentioned "It is the core to being happy and healthy"... because everything follows, the way you react calmly, introspecting while listening to your fave sound. eventually beneficial not only to you but even to other people you meet.
